Membership Activities
The Louisiana Historical Society sponsors the following activities for its members:
- Monthly lectures on fascinating subjects in Louisiana history.
- Symposia on important topics.
- Guided overnight tours to historic sites in Louisiana, featuring good food and good company.
- Annual Banquet on January 8 each year to commemorate the victory at the Battle of New Orleans that concluded the War of 1812.
- Annual Commemoration of the Louisiana Purchase by the United States from France.
